Shortcut keys for all
I suggest everyone to always use shortcuts while using computer. We cannot use these shortcuts in mobile phones. While we are using PC make use of its advantages. You can easily and quickly do any work on your computer using these shortcuts. These shortcuts will be more useful when there is less time to complete a work. In this blog I'm going to cover most used shortcuts in google chrome, command prompt and windows.
Chrome shortcuts
These shortcut keys might be useful for you.
1. CTRL + T - creates a new tab
2. CTRL + N - opens a new window
3. CTRL + Tab - to change the tab
4. CTRL + Shift + Del - opens history deletion window
5. CTRL + H - browser history
6. CTRL + W - closes the current tab
7. CTRL + Z - undo the text that has been typed in the search bar
8. ALT + Left arrow - Previous page in same tab
9. ALT + Right arrow - Go forward ( only if available)
10.ALT + F4 - Closes the chrome
11. CTRL + Shift + I - Developer tools
12.CTRL + U - View source code
13.F5 - refresh
14.CTRL + L or F6 - Selects the link in the link bar
15.Alt + left arrow - Previous page (possible only if the action is available)
16.Alt + right arrow - next page (possible only if the action is available)
17.Ctrl + R - reload page
18.Ctrl + P - Print page
19.Ctrl + S - Save as
20. Ctrl + Shift + B - Show/hide bookmark bar
21. Ctrl + Shift + A - Show/hide Recent tabs dropdown list
Command prompt commands:
Using command prompt makes some complex task more easier. Command prompt fully supports only shortcuts, which means it intakes only commands (shortcut keys). So the below listed are the command prompt commands.
Most commands may difffer for different operating systems. The below given is for windows users only.

1. cd - Change directory
2. dir - View files in current directory
3. mkdir - create new folder.syntax : mkdir filename
4. cls - clear all text in the command prompt
5. color - change the color according to the given hexa decimal value syntax: color 5a. In the above example 5 refers to background color, a refers to the foreground color as well.
6. type nul > - creates files with extensions that we needed. syntax: type nul > filename.html
7. type - it is used to display the text in any file. syntax: type filename.txt
8. echo "text to be written" > filename.txt - This command replaces any text in filename.txt to content that was within the double quotes. Double quotes is not necessary in the syntax.
9. echo "text to be written" >> filename.txt - This command adds the text within the double quotes in filename.txt
10. filename with extension - just opens the file in notepad or some other text editors( according to your computer setup ).syntax: filename.txt
11. exit - Closes the command prompt window.
12. help - shows a list of commands.
Windows shortcuts:
Using windows without a mouse is pretty cool. By knowing the above shortcut keys you rarely touch your mouse.
The above shortcuts will be useful for all windows users:
1. Alt + Tab - Navigate through tabs
2. WIN key + D - Shows desktop
3. WIN key + I - opens settings
4. F5 - refresh
5. ALT + F4 - shutdown, restart or sleep mode.
6. WN key + = - magnifier tab opens and automatically starts zooming the screen size
7. WIN key + - - magnifier tab opens and automatically minimizes the windows size
8. WIN key + R - Run window prompts
9. CTRL + Z - undo changes
10. CTRL + Y - Redo changes
11. CTRL + C - copy text and copies to clip board temporarily
12. CTRL + X - Cut text content and copies to clipboard temporarily
13. CTRL + V - Paste the copied text content.
14. WINkey + E - Opens File explorer Also referred as:This PC or My computer.
15. ALT + Enter key - View file properties(Select a file and use the above key combination in order to see the file properties)
16. WIN key + S - Windows search
17. WIN key + C - Voice search via Cortana

18. alt + up arrow - Up one directory
